breaking through

so......change of plans. rewind, revamp, restart...this is my new blog, again. deleted old posts that may hinder me from moving forward...and now, i think, i'm moving forward. before, i started the blog at JUST the wrong time. now, i think it's the right time. thanks for bearing with me. for those of you who are followers from afar and might not be tuned in to my life as of late...i am still abbie GAGNON and i'm not wearing any crazy bling on my finger anymore. it is a big change from the expected, as can be imagined, and that's all i'm going to say on the subject, because, essentially, that's all i know about it at this point anyway. looking forward: wide open road.

here are some photos from my first two of many trips this fall...i like to call them the "breakthrough trips" because of the way autumn is breaking through in yellows and oranges and reds across new england, and by the way this trip allowed me to break through what could have been a very tough weekend for me. enjoy the photos...new england at its best!

the cheapest, best view of boston, from the little commuter ferry that leaves from long wharf and goes to charlestown. $1.70 each way.

the highlight of the boston aquarium. (though the sea lion/seal show was entertaining too.)

trip #2: north conway, nh for leaf-peeping (hate that term, makes it feel so wrong), shopping, and eating our way to temporary happiness. it really worked! and, there is something about nature that does give you a peace that is so much more than temporary. see our bed and breakfast, merrill farm resort, above. i give it a thumbs up!

silver cascade, somewhere on route 16 in northern new hampshire.

the famous mount washington hotel. even on a cloudy day, the setting is impeccable. need i say more?

my mom and i and the rach(a)els out to dinner on saturday night at flatbread company in north conway. people with dreads and tie-dyed t-shirts on baking flatbread pizza in a wood-fired oven = yum. we also got friendly's ice cream later.

  1. Bold move, Ab. So proud of you and so excited for what God has next for you. I have complete faith it will be great (and hoping it includes lots of visits if not a move to Pittsburgh).

    Hi Abbie,
Enjoyed seeing your new blog. Loved the beautiful pictures, especially the fabulous picture of you with my dear sister and the two Rachels. You have more spark than any two people, and I am glad to see you still have it. God loves you so much and so do we!
    With love and prayers.
    Carol
