pre-trip planning phase

i am enjoying the beauty of autumn in new hampshire, but am starting to get anxious to get on the move. my first trip (by air) to tucson, arizona starts tomorrow! i will be there until friday with my brother, phil. i am SO excited to see him since i haven't seen him since Christmastime last year and he has been stationed in saudi arabia since february. i am also psyched to see my uncle nels who lives in az! planning for this trip doesn't involve much except trying to think about what i will do on the long flights (layover in chicago). if all goes well out there, i might have a computer to entertain me on the way back...(shopping for a macbook pro, and a camera, too. any advice?)

if you know about tucson, please let me know about the must-sees for my trip! i know i will be going to the pima air and space museum and the airplane graveyard there...and i will be eating at in-n-out burger, no compromises. and, no doubt, there will be purchasing of turquoise jewelry. any other ideas?

also...i'm planning my roadtrip, which will start on october 13th. most of you know this because i have been shamelessly posting roadtrip plans and details all over facebook, but i remain unashamed. i am trying to get the word out because the more people who know about it, the more people i get to visit! currently looking for friends in or near charleston, sc and kansas city, mo. (and pretty much anywhere else.) get the word out!

for those of you who haven't read the post on my abbie's roadtrip 2010 event page on facebook, please send me mix cds for the road if you like doing that sort of thing! (let me know if you need my address.) i will be blogging throughout my trips, so keep visiting the blog...i know it has been pretty thin so far, but the plot will thicken soon.

not too much color in southern nh, yet, but still quite lovely with this beautiful weather...

will be blogging from tucson next...until then!

  1. I have only been to In-and-Out burger a few times and not impressed but have heard the fun of it is going online and finding out about their "secret menu".
