i started a day later than expected, and pretty much everything that happened, beginning with the plot of my audiobook right down to where i am calling home for the night, was a little different than expected. theme? expectations are USELESS inventions of humankind to attempt to feel like we have some kind of control over our lives. lesson for the day? no matter what i expect from each day, from this journey, from life in general, i will be ever surprised by the continual departure from the expected. makes one think that we should just stop "expecting" things at all. hmmm. deep.
saw dear friends today but took no people photos. just a few of the peak foliage season in the monadnock region of new hampshire, before the rain started. they are only so spectacular since they were taken through my windshield while driving, but enjoy, nonetheless!
