yesterday i visited my cousin val, her two kids, and her mom and dad (my aunt and uncle) who were visiting from NH, too, in frederick, maryland. it was a lovely visit! i'd never been there but it is a really sweet town with a lot of character and some GREAT vintage shops! good find...i'll have to return there when i have some money to spend!
first, we had a delicious lunch of corn chowder, a peach, grape, and feta salad, and yummy grilled chicken sandwiches with pesto, tomato, and smoked gouda on foccacia. val, can i go to your cooking school??
then we drove to downtown frederick to see the sights! my favorite place was tiara day, an eclectic shop with bags, jewelry, vintage clothing, and trinkets...all things wonderful.
oh, did i forget to mention they have hats and sunglasses there, too? sunglasses photo is me and my grown-up second cousin ellisa! naturally, she's fifteen and taller than me. :)
val and i in an unfortunately un-picturesque parking lot...i promise, even the parking lots there are pretty!
me, uncle vic, and aunt glennie. new hampshire-ites unite...in maryland!
and a few artsy pictures for your enjoyment...
Your new camera takes great pictures! I love that you got to be with Val and her family and Uncle Vic & Aunt Glennie too. The pictures of you all are awesome and that lunch looked amazing. Val, if you see this, watch out, the Melders are on their way for some of that yummyness!
